WestJet is now flying Toronto to Merida beginning October 25 to April 25. Every Tuesday, one flight departs for Merida in the morning and returns in the afternoon.
This is great for traveller going to the nearby town of Progreso. This is the quiet yet vibrant seaside town only 30 min from the Merida airport. This is ideal for those wanting to come visit, stay for vacation or winter here.
I have written to WestJet regularly, and I am so pleased so say they are one company that has really listened to their customers. They answered each of my emails, and I have written to them thanking them for the new flights. Next let’s hope for a Thursday flight as well. That would mean those of us who still work, could come by for a long weekend getaway from Thursday to Tuesday. How great is that!!
